Bills vs Chiefs: Kansas better team, what about Buffalo?

The Kansas City Chiefs will face Buffalo Bills in one of the games in the NFL on Sunday. Chiefs are expected to have a team with the mindset of getting deeper in the playoffs while Bills may have to struggle again in their division with the Patriots and the Jets.

Chiefs never had a chance to capture a win the preseason games with the record of 0-4. However, that is not the major concern in making the start in the NFL but on the status of their quarterback Matt Cassel who reportedly suffered a broken rib and pushing Tyler Palko to start the game. With that development, it would be tough for coach Todd Haley to bring back his team into a winning atmosphere.

With all the developments in the NFL free agency, Chiefs didn’t make enough significant acquisition to enhance the team though they still believe that whatever they have right now have the potential to play cohesively.

Last season the Chiefs went on to have one of their best records at 10-6 in six years. With the guidance of quarterback Cassel, the Chiefs had been a contender in last year’s NFL. Cassel became stable on his plays and on his approach as the starting quarterback. We all know that Cassel learned a lot of things from Tom Brady when he was the backup in New England. He has the experience to stay calm in times of pressure situation.

Aside from Cassel as secret weapons, Chiefs had the luxury of a healthy team with the 22 starters missing a total of 11 games all season. The health of the Chiefs can be the determining factor on how deep they will go in this NFL season.

In the schedule of Kansas City Chiefs, it would be impossible for them to reach the playoffs. Why? Chiefs will have the AFC East and the NFC North this year. Moreover, Pittsburgh and Indianapolis Colts will play them also. Yes, there’s a mountain to climb for the Chiefs this year if they want to be in the playoffs. Winning their division is the key but how will they do it without Cassel.

Without Cassel, Chiefs can play the run as they topped the NFL last season with an average of 164 yards per game. The team has the legs of Jamaal Charles who went on to rush for 177 against the Bills last year.

With that in mind, Buffalo Bills will test the defensive schemes that they practiced during the preseason games. Buffalo wants to advance to the playoffs in the midst of powerhouse teams in their division. Truly, the Patriots and Jets will fight for that division but Bills must be considered also in the conversation if they can outplay the Chiefs.

The Bills may not have the players to match the speed of Kansas City in the run but their determination to play a better game can create the atmosphere of hope that they can get out in a hotly contested division. The Bills has to find out ways to contain the run of the Chiefs. Surely without their quarterback, the Bills might rush the passer to make sure that the quarterback will not have enough time to pass the ball to his receivers.

Coach Chan Gailey defense is a much tougher compare to last season. He still has to instigate actions and concentration just for the team to play and win. He must push the right buttons for his the Bulls to have a chance to compete against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Bills vs Chiefs starts at 1:00 PM ET at the Arrowhead Stadium. Chiefs vs Bills scores will be posted here right after the game? Can the Bills start with a win against the Chiefs? Chiefs vs Bills tv coverage is on CBS.
