The defense is the reason why the Spartans can win this game. It is just a matter of checking quarterback Robinson and then the Spartans will win. However, that’s easier said than done.

In the previous game against the Buckeyes, quarterback Kirk Cousins completed 20 of 32 passes for 250 yards. He struggled against the defense as he threw for two interceptions. In that game BJ Cunningham caught nine passes for 154 yards while Keshawn Martin caught five passes for 45 yards.

Cousins will be an important player to watch in this Michigan vs Michigan State game. He can make or break the offense of the Spartans. Furthermore, the Spartans need the running game to be effective so that they can get more of the time possessions.

Ohio State vs Illinois will be yet another Big Ten Conference game in Saturday. Ohio State is out for the Big Ten Conference supremacy but Illinois remains undefeated.

Illinois current undefeated status makes this game more interesting not only in the sight of the Big Ten Conference but also in other conferences. The Illini will have a chance to start at 7-0 since 1951. Furthermore, they have the chance to keep their goal alive for the Big Ten Conference title but also for national title. Of course ending the season without any loss will be in the conversation for the national title.

The secret weapon for the Illini is quarterback Nathan Scheelhaase as he completed 12 off 22 passes for 210 yards in their last game against Indiana. He is hitting his targets efficiently in all their games so far.

With Scheelhaase as the quarterback, AJ Jenkins caught six catches for 182 yards while Spenser Harris had three receptions for 22 yards. Surely, these receivers may not be enough but Illinois’ success can also be attributed to Scheelhaase rushing game. He rushed 18 times for 88 yards against Indiana.

If we dissect Illinois offense, the running game is one of the most powerful in the nation because of the numbers of players who can run the ball with power and determination. Troly Pollard rushed 9 times for 92 yards, Donovonn Young had 73 yards in 12 carries, Jason Ford had 16 carries for 55 yards.

Pounding the defense through their prolific rushing offense is one of the key components why Illinois hasn’t dropped a game. Furthermore, the dominating effect of that offense will surely be tough for the opponents to absorb.

On the other hand, the darling of the Big Ten Conference Ohio State Buckeyes no longer hold the capability to be as strong as ever. For sure, the distractions from outside affect the games of the Buckeyes. We all know that the lasting effect of what took place in the team before this season will be felt.

Ohio States previous loss agaisnt Nebraska showed the instability in the team after leading 21 points in the first half. Yes, the Buckeyes allowed Nebraska to score 28 points in a row which was not previously done by the Buckeyes. The major collapse in that game tells us that the Ohio State has been a different team since the scandals that bothers the players.

The bright side of the Buckeyes is their running offense as they were became extraordinary powerful against Nebraska. Carlos Hyde rushed 13 times for 104 yards, Braxton Millers rushed 10 times for 91 yards, and Jordan Hall had 49 yards for 17 carries.

Ohio State’s offense must be consistent against the defense of the Illinois. If Ohio State can navigate on the defense of the Illini, Buckeyes will win the game.
