No 2 Alabama Crimson Tide – All the Crimson Tide do is to wait what will happen surrounding them. The biggest threat at No 2 position will be the game between LSU and Arkansas. Assuming that Arkansas will win that game? This will absolutely create controversies. Will Alabama go into No 1 or will they fall outside the top 2?

No 3 Arkansas Razorbacks – Arkansas only chance of getting into the conversation is to beat No 1 LSU. This will be the game of the week and the defense of LSU will be tested.

No 4 Stanford Cardinal – Last week, everything is gone but it seems that the Cardinal still have an outside shot as a team with one loss. It is still possible for the Cardinal to be in the national title but it will be a long shot.

In a highly competitive AFC, it would be hard to enter the playoffs by not winning the division.

Another problem for the Patriots is the defense that looks terrible when a defensive team is around. Brady couldn’t connect his passes when he is being pressured by the defenders. In short, he is somewhat confused when pass rush defense is being applied to his offense. Brady’s ability to extend his effort to pull off a win must be felt by his teammates early in the game. He must have that urgency to capitalize on the mistakes of the opponents. Again, Brady will face one of the toughest defenses in the NFL.

Brady must navigate through that Jets defense by using his full arsenals of receivers. Wes Welker still is his favorite target but it is obvious that Deion Branch has been taken out of the picture in the last two games. Branch is the most reliable target of Brady in long passes. Branch must find ways to distance himself from his defender.

New England Patriots must also try to explore the use of wide receiver Chad Ochocinco as he hasn’t delivered this season consistently. Ochocinco is a deep threat and he must have to play the Patriots offense for his team to win.

Rob Gronkowski is also one of the elements of the Patriots success. He is the second most target of Brady this season. If Gronkowski plays better this game against the defense of Giants, then the Patriots can spread the offense better.

Brady’s 10 interceptions of the season already surpasses his last year’s only four interceptions. Brady must avoid mistakes to keep the offense on the field while the defense takes the rest.

Fresh from a 27-11 victory over the Buffalo Bills, quarterback will have a better chance in his passes as he faces the Patriots weak passing defense. Against the Bills, Sanchez completed 20 of 28 passes for 230 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Sanchez still hasn’t found his way to dominate the game but he makes the important passes when the game is at crunchtime.

Sanchez must play without mistakes for his team to be successful against the New England Patriots. He must connect to his receivers early in the game so that he will create the distance over the Patriots.

Antonio Brown caught five passes for 109 yards while Heath Miller had five catches for 73 yards. Mike Wallace had 68 yards in four receptions and Jerricho Cotchery had three catches for 44 yards. These four receivers will have a chance to showcase their talents just for the Steelers to bounce back from a defeat.

Bengals had their problems of losing Carson Palmer as the quarterback but it seems that they are ready to be a team with the goal to be in the playoffs. In the last game against the Tennessee Titans, quarterback Andy Dalton carried the team for his three touchdown passes. He completed 22 of 39 passes for 217 yards. Dalton found ways to hit his targets especially in the end zone. Surely, Dalton is the type of quarterback that the Bengals are going to rely to just to enter into the playoffs.

Laurent Robinson caught five passes for 103 yards that included a 70 yards touchdown reception from Romo. It is significant to take into consideration that he is the best wide receiver that Romo can rely on. However, adding to that receiving core are Dez Bryant and Jason Witten.

If Romo has to be effective, he has to find ways to navigate through the mouth of the defense of Seattle. He must secure the ball well enough for him to give his team a chance to win.

Dallas offense is not centered on the passing but the rushing game can provide the lift as Demarco Murray can explode anytime. Murray rushed eight times for 78 yards in that defeat last week. Cowboys must have to give the ball on him so that he can pound it over that defense.

Jackson reached the 300 yards plateau but it wasn’t enough for the team to score despite the yardage. Also, the rushing offense of the Seahawks couldn’t shake things up as Marshawn Lynch rushed 16 times for only 24 yards. What a low yardage with so many carries.

The bright side for the Seahawks that they can keep on is how their receivers respond when they needed to convert. Ben Obomanu and Sidney Rice had more than 100 yards each in the last game.

After suffering a defeat 24-14 on Michigan State, Michigan Wolverines bounced back to overthrow Purdue, 36-24, allowing them to have a chance to contend in the Big Ten.

First year coach Brady Hoke likes the way the team played against Purdue but he wants to see his team to be successful in routing out Iowa in Saturday’s football game. It the game against Purdue, it was evident that Michigan did something different on the offense as running back Fitz Toussaint rushed 20 times for 170 yards. He played with determination on his face as he sneaked in to those given spaces.

Michigan not only used Toussaint in the running game, Denard Robinson rushed 15 times for 63 yards while Michael Shaw rushed five times for 56 yards. It is mind boggling to find out that the Wolverines had a total of 339 rushing yards against the Boilermakers. It was rushing game that Purdue couldn’t stand against it, making Michigan to win convincingly.

Quarterback Robinson also drilled in nine passes for 170 yards making him one of the best quarterbacks who can pass and rush offensively. He hit his targets with precision and if it the availability of the target is not there, the managed to run the ball making himself a double threats.

Jeremy Gallon had three receptions for 79 yards while Roy Roundtree had two receptions for 61 yards. Robinson has enough receivers to catch his passes but he must be consistent this time against Iowa.

Michigan currently is in a battle for the Big Ten Conference title as Michigan State and Nebraska are tied together for that prestigious feat. As part of the Big Ten schedule, Michigan must have to win this conference game.

Michigan also improved in the rush defense last week against Purdue allowing only 89 yards. In that loss against the Spartans, the Wolverines yielded more than 200 yards of rush.

One of the reasons Michigan has the success is the rush defense that evaded them last season. Because the defense has the capability to stop the opponent, the running game has dominated each game.

Iowa Hawkeyes are ready to pound with the Wolverines as they are focused to make the eventual upset. Coach Kirk Ferentz has a lot of thing to do in terms of adjustments. He understands that his team’s weakness is stopping the run in which the Wolverines have the overall advantage. Currently, Hawkeyes are yielding 194 yards per game on the ground.

Iowa will also explore the ground game in the offense as Marcus Coker is ready to work harder. In the last game against Minnesota in a loss, Cooker rushed 32 times for a whooping 252 yards. He showed to the nation that he is one of the most explosive runningbacks.

In the passing game, quarterback James Vanderberg completed 16 of 24 passes for 177 yards. He needs to keep the passing alive against the defense of the Wolverines. Venderberg needs to play with great expectancy from his receivers. He can make long passes but the accuracy will always be the question.

One of the reliable receivers for the Hawkeyes is Marvin McNutt who had seven receptions for 101 yards. It is very important for him to be aggressive offensively to make the upset for Iowa.
